The Middle East’s Feminist Revolution →
texnessa: The role of women in the great upheaval in the Middle East has been woefully under-analyzed. Women in Egypt did not just “join” the protests – they were a leading force behind the cultural evolution that made the protests inevitable. And what is true for Egypt is true, to a greater and lesser extent, throughout the Arab world. When women change, everything changes, and women in the...

lubadub replied to your post: happy monday, tumblr - i’ve missed you. I spent all of last week laid up too. Dayquil and nyquil make the world FAR more interesting. And funny. Glad you’re feeling better, Doodle! Thanks Lubs!! Sorry you had it too. The dayquil/nyquil rotation is magic. Right now, that magic has made my hands numb, but i feel goooood. lottiebites replied to your post:...

happy monday, tumblr - i've missed you.
this past week i’ve been so sick i haven’t had any booze, caffeine, or real food that’s not soup. today, however, i’m finally making a comeback. even though i’m only at about 50%, i still feel so much better than last week that in my cold-med-induced delirium i think i might just conquer the world today. who’s with me?

paperlesswords: Hundreds have died in the name of democracy, in the name of freedom, today alone. Hundreds will die tomorrow. The next day. The day after that. In Yemen, Libya, Bahrain, Iran… in every Middle Eastern country that is uprising. That will uprise. China. South Korea. In every country dictated by an authoritarian government.
